One thing about disposable cameras from Walgreen's is that they don't capture shades of black very well. Lots of my pictures of the utterly black hallway and stairs didn't come out well. I don't blame my accountant friend for being thrifty when he bought the cameras; that's his way, not mine ;-) (Just a joke, K-man. Give Slappy a break.)
This is pretty much looking straight up from the first floor, through the stairwell, which goes upward from left to right. The lower part of the picture (except the far left) is the wall next to the stairwell, which used to have wood paneling, if I recall correctly. The stairwell was very dangerous to navigate because it was buried in sludge, and the handrail, although still technically there, was very flimsy. I only ventured up once and didn't want to intrude on my neighbor's apartments, so I missed some really choice pix (from the cold-hearted photographer's perspective, anyway). About 10 feet to the right of this picture is my apartment door. Let's have a look at it, shall we?
