Just six years after destruction of Germany at end of World War II, this English-language booklet shows how USSR has become the new "public enemy" in the two Germanies. Describes Soviet propaganda against Berlin airlift. Misleading phrases of Communist propaganda. Booklet aims to give American readers an outline of the communist operations in Germany, and means the Western Powers and democratic Germans are able to use to resist communist pressure. 108 pp. 13 x 19.5 cm. Drawings of a Draftee, inscribed by author by J.B. Dobbs,  ca. 1955. Author was drafted into the Army on election day, 1952. Human Rights Issue at the San Francisco Conference, The; Was it a Victory? Reprinted from The Menorah Journal, Spring, 1946 by Janowsky, Oscar I. 1946 New York, NY: The Menorah Association. After World War I the Minorities Treaties were hailed as the Magna Carta of the weak and oppressed.  Today (1946) minority rights are passé. We were excited at the passage of a Human Rights Declaration and its inclusion in the United Nations Organization charter.  However, that enthusiasm was premature.  The commitment was couched in broad and general terms. There is no means for defining whose rights, what rights, and no means for enforcing the protection of human rights.   55 pp. 18 x 25.5 cm. Military Words with Pictures, prepared by the Troop Information and Education Section HQ-AFFE; FEC Pamphlet 12-10 ca. 1953  Department of the Army. This booklet was produced to assist soldiers with limited education or knowledge of English to learn basic military vocabulary, during large military buildup to fight the war in Korea.  Pictures and text are very basic. "Slit trench is a long, narrow hole. [ Picture of hole.] This soldier is not in his slit trench. [Picture of helmet in hole.].. The bombers are high in the air. Soviet Government newspaper, lead headline: "Meeting of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR".Inside this edition are 3 1/4 pages devoted to presentation of State Budget at Meeting of Supreme Soviet.  Text of many speeches.   Story on International Women's Day --meeting yesterday in Bolshoi Theatre. "International Review" notes that the USSR is presenting a budget devoted to improving the material and cultural level of workers, while the "Ruling Circles" of the USA are dedicating their budgetary efforts toward preparing for a world war. Story from Pekin reports that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Peoples' Republic of China, Chou En-lai, is protesting the Application of Biological Weapons by the USA, and encroachment by American aviation in the air space of China. Also from Pekin is a TASS story from the Chinese News Agency's Correspondent at the Korean front, reporting on the Continuation of the American Agressors' use of biological weapons in Korea.  From Budapest is report from Grossmeister V. Ragozin of the International Chess Tournament, led by Soviet Master Geller, who defeated Herr Platz of the German Democratic Republic on the 34th move. 6 pp. 43 x 60 cm.
