Advertising card shows color picture of young girl in blue dress. On reverse is poem, "How Fair," praising Ayer's Extract, which "purifies the blood, improves the complexion." Testimonials for cure of boils, carbuncles, headaches, neuralgia.  . 2 sides 14.5 x 21.5 cm. Baby Doll: Warner Bros. Picture, an Elia Kazan Production of Tennessee Williams' screen play, starring Karl Malden and Carroll Baker; Advertising-Publicity Campaign Packet 1956 Warner Brothers. Advance Publicity campaign and advertising campaign samples for film "Baby Doll", has been called “notorious, salacious, revolting, dirty, steamy, lewd, suggestive, morally repellent and provocative.” This was 25-year-old Carroll Baker's second film, and she received an Oscar nomination for her part in the film. Its advertisements and posters featured a sultry young "Baby Doll" curled up in a crib in a suggestive pose, sucking her thumb.   21 x 28 cm. Burdock's Blood Bitters 1892 Almanac and Key to Health 1892 Buffalo, NY: Foster, Milburn & Co. Josiah Lewis of Sing Sing, NY had dyspepsia for years with no cure until he took Burdock Blood Bitters. Hettie McCourtney of Remus, MI had a pain in her back, head, heart, poor appetite, constipation and more until she took BBB. Mrs. Samuel Rieder's little boy (of Summit Hill, OH) had sores all over his body and legs, couldn't stand on his feet. " I gave him two bottles of BBB, and now he looks like another boy altogether." Almanac offers many testimonials and health advice, cures for Dyspepsia, dizziness, headache, variable appetite, souring of food, heart palpitation, constipation, biliousness, scrofula, rheumatism, pain in loins, dropsy, female complaints. Just take Burdock sugar-coated pills, Burdock's Blood Bitters, Dr. Wood's Norway Pine Syrup and Dr. Thomas' Eclectric Oil. Mrs. Wm. F. Eight-page, large format booklet contains advertising cuts, publicity pieces, biographies for promoting film, "Thunder in the City" starring Edward G. Robinson (1893-1973), with Luli Deste, Nigel Bruce, Constance Collier; Screen play by Robert Sherwood and Aben Kandel; Directed by Marion Gering, this was an Astor Pictures Corp. film.  Headline: "'Little Caesar' Crashes Society to Smash All Thrill Records."  8 pp. 27 x 42 cm. GOP Elephant, paper ca. 1972.  Paper elephant with  small American flags behind each ear.  This elephant was probably used during 1972 Nixon campaign. Hood's: "Take Hood's and Only Hood's" Newspaper advertising insert for Hood's Sarsaparilla. ca. 1893 Lowell, MA: Hood's Laboratories. Four pages of testimonials of people who took Hood's Sarsaparilla and Pills and purified their blood, cured constipation, enlivened numb limbs, cured running sores and dyspepsia, and much more.  Mrs. Rumrill of Royalton, VT was a "walking ghost" with gastric dyspepsia until she took Hood's Sarsaparilla. Edward O. Daugherty had no heart--no strength, no appetite, could not sleep.  What a change Hood's Sarsaparilla effected!!   Mrs. Ed Swan of Duncanville, IL had sick headaches for 21 years, and then it all ended with one bottle of Hood's. John Albert Lantz of Alvarado, TX was a child with great suffering from poison oak; then he took Hood's Sarsaparilla. Results were astonishing. 4 pp. 44 x 56 cm.
