Scarce little cookbook contains recipes which can be best made with the "Universal" Food Chopper. Shows different attachments for pulverizing or very fine chopping; medium cutting for sausages, scotch collops, croquettes, soups; coarse adjustment for soups, puddings, cake. Illustrations show different fittings, including tube for filling sausages, three sizes of choppers. Kahn, 52 William Street. Address by Mr. Otto H. Kahn (1867-1934) at the Conference of the Drama in American Universities and Little Theatres at the Carnegie Institute of Technology, Pittsburgh, PA, on Nov. 27th, 1925. Kahn, a wealthy New York financier, was a monumental supporter of the arts, responsible for bringing Ballet Russes and Nijinsky to America, bankrolling Gershwin, and a great supporter of the Metropolitan Opera. In this address he encourages his audience to "decentralize--emancipate yourselves from Broadway"....don't play down to your audience, but "avoid dullness, drabness, sermonizing, sterile intellectuality."
