"Libran by the Back Door"
Brian Lee Jones and Natalie McDonald
Sizzling-hot songwriter Brian Lee Jones is easily New Jersey's best-kept musical secret! While neither of us is actually a Libran (we're both Sagittarians with Virgo Moons), collaborating on this track was a dream come true. Brian produced and recorded a plaintive version of my song which successfully evokes both T. Rex and the Beatles at the same time! Brian's brother, Perry Jones, is the subject of another song I recorded entitled "Lofty Skies Suite (Perry's On Patrol)".
I've just seen something
That was done with mirrors
A seduction production
At the speed of light
Never saw the train a-comin'
I was too close to the tracks
I guess I should've known better
But it's too late
It's too late to look back
He's a Libran
Libran by the back door
He's a Libran
Libran by the back door
I've been known to take some chances
So I tried to play his game
My cards were on the table
I thought I had the winning hand
The odds were stacked against me
Seems like I had a lot at stake
I let the chips go down
But I'll never
I'll never make the same mistake
He's a Libran
Libran by the back door
He's a Libran
Libran by the back door
He was fast on the draw
He shot me down in flames
Now he's back in the saddle
With a new notch on his gun
I'll never settle the score
He'll be gone by sundown
He's running out of bullets
And he's running out of town
He's a Libran
Libran by the back door
He's a Libran
Libran by the back door
